Terrible tap.

Hi All

We have just fitted a new monoblock tap from CDA. Its a swans neck design with porcleain lever knobs.

The cold side is quite free, and when opening it half way the weight of the porcleain opens the tap fully.

Also, when turning off the cold tap, the water continues to flow until the tap empties - very annoying. It does not do this on the hot side.

Any ideas guys please?

Best is to dismantle a new tap and grease everything then reassemble.

But if you take the lever off and do up any gland nut it might help. Possible that a tension spring has broken?

H and C should have different waterways in the spout so will behave differently.
