Rads suddenly cold - help!

Came back from holiday yesterday - turned on the heating - all fine .. left it on overnight .. this morning the upstairs rads are all nice and hot the downstairs are cold. Bled all the downstairs ones ... some were gummed up and no air came out of the bleed valve until i stuck a pin in it ... pump seems fine ... now one downstairs rad is 'warm' the others still stone cold. .. any suggestions welcome .. simon

seems to cover it.

Flush the system, clean the pump, take action to stop it re-gumming.
