Hi I have a five year old Hoover Performa 1100. Having done a wash cycle today, the washing machine did not drain completely - there is water at the bottom of the drum. I have checked the hose etc. and all seems fine. I noticed that at the end of the spinning cycle I didn\\\'t hear the little click that seems to indicate the drainage bit is open so maybe this is an electrical problem? Would appreciate any help.

Many thanks!!

no idea about your m/c but it sounds like something in the pump area, i have seen hp m/c got coins, dog hair etc blocking the internal filter, i would follow grey outlet pipe back to find your pump location
but do unplug m/c first

Thanks for replying to my posting - I did as suggested and am pretty sure it's something to do with the pump area. Only problem is I can't take any of the bits off around the pump to have a look at it. Have admitted defeat and called a plumber...

Thanks again for your help!
