Hi
I have an old but good polo 1982 some bast*** tried to steal it , they have ruined the ignition barrel snapped something inside it . I have got a new barrel but cant see how to remove the damaged one , any help greatly appreciated

You will need to remove the lock housing and drill a hole in a particular spot to depress the button and release the barrel ( you can drill in situ but its awkward) The info is in the Haynes manual as Breezer suggested.
