I have a cooker rated at 11.4 KW. (2 ovens + 4 ring hob)
It has a blanking plate (rating unsure)
It has Cooker switch + socket (rating unsure)
The cable from the Consumer unit is 4mm2 and breaker in the consumer unit is rated at 32Amp.
Are the cable and breaker correctly rated within regulations ?
(I have had no problems with it so far.) |

4mm, 32A, ok. 11.4Kw will take 49.5A on full load, diversity give 10A + 30% f.l. + 5A for a socket.
What do you think?
Personally I would prefer to see a 6mm cable. __________________ "Shock me again and I'm gonna turn you off"

as long as there is no thermal insulation anywhere near that cable it should be just about ok. |
