hi can anyone help i have to replace some windows which have old leaded glass in them can anyone tell me how to get them out in one piece as i want to re install them in new wooden frames |

Usually they are puttied in. Chip out the putty with a sharp chisel. Then you'll find a few glazing brads that hold it in whilst the putty hardens. Remove the brads (headless nails, sometimes flat). Clear any paint from the inside of the window and it will come out.

Depending how good the the windows are, best to go over with leadlight cement for weather proofing. __________________ Always judge a man by the way he treats someone who is of no use to him |
