Head Gasket

Hi,

I have a 1998 fiat punto 1.2.
The problems I am having are pointing to the head gasket.
Can this be changed yourself or is it definately a garage job?

If you have to ask then you probably don't have enough general mechanical experience to undertake the job.

However, with the right tools, it's quite do-able. You might find more problems that you bargained for, so allow plenty of time and don't start on a Sunday when you need the car the next day.

First step - get the Haynes manual for your car/engine.

what problem are you having with the car...first of all.
