Can anyone suggest a possible cause for the failure of the main gas burner to light when either dhw or ch is on demand.
I was informed it could possibly be the modulator coil however having changed this the problem is still there.
Up until I returned from hoiliday I had this problem occassionally, however this is now a permanent problem.
Having switched off the power to the boiler overnight, I switched back on and opened the hot water tap and a noisy rattling sound was heard for a few seconds. Main gas burner still not lighting.
