I want to relocate the switch for me cooker, but the wire will be too short to run to the new position. What is the best way to extend this (without taking the whole wire out and starting again).

I had a look at using a junction box, but the connectors looked too small to house the wire.

thanks

ps - after posting this i realised i should have a search and see if this has been answered already.

Most people have said re-wire all the way back to the consumer unit, but this isn't really possible, not without a lot of strife and work. As well as ripping up new carpets etc.

Someone said crimping the two wires together - can anyone show me where I can find such a tool? If there are any other methods, would appreciate hearing them too.

Thanks.

anyone?

would really appreciate a pointer on this one.
