I`ve had 2 customers who have told me on entering their property that they`ll supply the boiler because they`ve seen them on the internet at a knock down price. Believe it or not i don`t mark up on the boiler i supply, customer A bought a worcester bosch for £97 more than i`d have paid, and customer B £112. Customer B didn`t even get a flue with his, so an extra £50 was handed over to me after going to the merchant. I didn`t tell either of them i could get it cheaper, only way to keep a smile on your face is knowing it has hit them in the pocket. They`re happy because they didn`t get "ripped off by the plumber" And i was happier knowing not only had they lost out because of their attitude, but also i added £100 labour costs to their work for being annoying know it all gits!

On another forum it was mentioned clients with bad attitude were charge a punishment fee. This fee was also charged when they went for the cheapest quote and then you were invited to fix it.
