my potterton boiler making very loud noise

my boiler is a system boiler it is a potterton one not sure on model number.
how ever the bolier sounds like it has lots of air in side it. as it makes a kind of banging sound too as well. the system does have two auto air vents on it. any help. could the heat exchanger of gone?

The only clue to the model is your boiler has TWO AAVs !

Trouble is I cannot think of ANY boiler with two!

Can you look for more clues or even the model name?

Are BOTH AAV caps slightly loose to enable air to be removed?

Banging is often caused by lack of circulation through boiler.
 
hi the boiler has nomt got any av in it they are on the system up stairs in cylinder cupboard. will have pics to show later. if anyone can help. the system has had new pump in last 3 months.

Baxi Duo-tec has two, one on the top of main heat exchanger and one on the Grundfos pump housing. The installer had still managed to cook it and swore blind they were both open!
