Indesit: Water comes in and drains out straightaway

I have a brand new Indesit washing machine. Connected it and switched it on. The water comes in and then immediately drains out. Does not even wet the drum.
Any ideas? I have checked the inlet and outlet is connected correctly and the ON switch.

Is it being pumped out? or is it syphoning out? (You'll hear the pump running if it's the first one).

As it's brand new there's nothing you can do except pick up the phone and either complain to your retailer and demand a replacement (Bosch would be good) or make your first of many phone calls to Indesit to get it repaired.

Your hose is probably too low and is syphoning out, make sure hose is raised at back to at least the hight of the top of the inner drum.
