Hello there, I have an Alpha 240P Combi Boiler and this morning I awoke to no hot water or central heating and I can't see the pilot light.

Yesturday I went to turn off the shower mains, but accidently turned off the boiler mains. Perhaps this is why the pilot went out?

I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone could tell me how to relight the pilot.

Cheers,
Paul :D

Push the knob in the middle in, you hear the fan start then the clicking of auto ignition, keep hold 30 seconds after you see pilot flame through viewing window, it should stay lit after that. If not, you need help.

If the electronic ignition sequence doesn't start after a short while of holding the knob pushed in most likely reason is the paddle on the microswitch needs bending slightly snce it is used about once ever 5 years it forgets how to do it's job.

thank you very much, I'll give it a go!

Is this knob found underneath the cover or on the exterior?
