Fitting a 30mm holesaw into a 6mm chuck - is this right?

Hi all,

As the title suggests I need to fit a 30mm hole saw into a 6mm chuck.

Is this the right thing to buy?

The chuck is on the end of a flexible drill shaft and I have looked high and low for a larger chuck for a flexible drill but apparently they do not exist anywhere in the world?!

Sounds a bit dodgy to me, a hole saw should be used directly into the drills chuck not through a flexible drive. If it bites it might brake your wrist.
The arbor your show looks OK.
I hope I read your post correctly.

I think you did JonB. Thanks for the reply.

Its not an ideal situation but I'm drilling a 1 inch thick piece of soft wood through the most inaccesible 6cm hole known to man and no drill will 1) fit through the hole or 2) bend in that direction.

I am drilling at a slow speed, with the hammer action off so it should be OK.

If you or anyone can think of a better suggestion I am more than happy to take it on board. Believe me, this is a last resort.

Right angled drill any good? There are cheap adaptors...
I use one with a chopped off flatbit for floor joists.
