My first go at a new shed

This is my first project, a new shed.
I got the base finished today, but has been a real pain as I used reclaimed timber, so it was trim a bit here & add a bit there.

I hope to start the framing in the next few weeks.

To be honest I'd have used ply rather than the sterling board for the floor and depending on what you are using it for maybe even have insulated between the joists.
What roof are you planning because it looks to me like it will stick up over the fence quite a way?
Still looks fine and do post more pictures.

I went for OSB as it was only £6 a sheet for 18mm & was in a lot better nick than the ply.

Yep it will sit a few feet over the top of the fence as it's having an apex roof

Is that all reclaimed timber?
Most of the older sheets of that stuff I come into contact with tend to be a lot rougher than yours

Well some progress on the shed, base now done & started on the walls.

Yes mate I did & I can go to 3 mtrs

Excuse me if I'm being dim here but you are going to lay that wall down to fix the cladding aren't you? If not how do you intend to clad and treat the sides against the fence?

Best of luck with that, but you could have made it so much easier for yourself. I think, for the lower half you'll be working from inside, overhand, so to speak. Perhaps, by the time that gets tricky you'll be above the fence line.

If that fence is 6 feet high, are you still within the 2.5 metre height when you've got your roof on?
It's nowt to do with me, though.

I agree with some of the post on here. I have built loads of shed and pigeon lofts and I always made my walls in sections and cladded and treated them them before I even started on erecting the shed.
