Israel in some ways has a hard time. It's also handed one out several times. The area concerned has not really been settled long term since the 1920's. Colonial and racial tensions. Neither of these tend to disappear easily. Why do Israeli tend to have a particular view? Some more recent history

The general Arab attitude is a return to pre 67 boarders, Not surprising given who owned them. LOL Size matters too to the Palestinians.
What sort of Palestinian state is feasible now? Benjamin says none. The US visions seems to be along the lines of brain wash them and set things up so they can not do the same again. You may as well say occupied but by who.

Odds hit the nail on the head. They have "weoponised " the term "anti semitic" . As soon as anyone in the public eye speaks out against any wrong doing by the Israeli army, a whole lobby group attacks them and tries to add that label. This war has reached a new low level of inhumanity by both sides. How much destruction and civilian deaths wil it take to move forward ? Israel has the right to exist. And massive fire power to back it up. Palestine also has the right to exist. 2 million people are coralled in a small area and are now suffering terribley . And no, I don't have the answer. But chucking bombs into civilian areas will not solve it. Both sides are entrenched in their ideologies.

Good point by DevonBullet. But when some of the European Jews went back to their homes after the second world war, they were turned away and denied their possessions and property. They were driven away, displaced. Europe was in turmoil. The Israeli Jews are driven by never allowing the horrors of the second world war to happen to them again. Hence the current brutal war.
