Male Police can strip search a female.

The penny hasn't dropped with the numpties at BTP whereas the Met - through experience of being in the spotlight - have realised there is an issue
What do the Met do on the ground that is different to the BTP?

It’s not just BTP there seem to be 3 idiots on here who don’t get it. Not that a plumber, builder and car mechanic could be expected to.
Ouch! Me and Tranny are gas plumbers with IQs well into single figures, thankyou very much

The chief idiot thinks he is a world class lawyer (better than those the royal family use), runs a boat, specialist at tax avoidance, European employment specialist and in his spare time talks rubbish on a DIY forum.

And calls others idiots because they laugh at him

apart from those who are bringing the Judicial review? Seems to be an all female team.

Its only the BTP that have adopted the policy

And as the stats show, more than 50% of all stop and searches do not result in any criminal prosecution.

I'm not against stop and search, but I do think people should be treated appropriately. Every single person over the age of 10 is a "potential criminal".

It would be very easy for the BTP to adopt the Met's (and others) policy.

You haven't said how many times you've been stopped by btp? And searched ?

I still don't understand why you think it is likely, it's never happened to me, or anybody (women too) I know. I've mentioned this subject to wife, daughter, DIL and a few other female friends and they all say they don't know anybody that's been stopped either. And it's not even on their list of concerns.

What company do you keep ?

is that what you think any police officer (of any sex or definition) is after? the chance to do that, with witnesses in the room, taking into account the suspect may request another officer to search ?

I wonder how many join the BTP thinking they can achieve that?

That's what rugby tours are for (y)

No idea but the met guidance was apparently withdrawn in early 24, but the similar BTP has remained in force. They think that a biological "woman" is an identity, but a trans woman is a "gender" which gets protection as a protected characteristic. In other words a trans woman trumps a biological woman.
