Well not quite.

But Trump has a plan how to solve the shortage created by deporting undocumented migrants

Florida debates lifting some child labor laws to fill jobs vacated by undocumented immigrants

Florida has been working for years to crack down on employers that hire undocumented immigrants. But that presented a problem for businesses in the state that are desperate for workers to fill low-wage and often undesirable jobs.

Florida’s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and the state legislature have a potential solution: children.

The state’s legislature on Tuesday advanced a bill that would loosen child labor laws, allowing children as young as 14 years old to work overnight shifts. If the new law is passed, teenagers would be able to work overnight jobs on school days. They are currently prevented from working earlier than 6:30 am or later than 11 pm per state law.

can only be a god thing, why shouldn't they be allowed to work. I had a paper round when I was 12

funny other than in your title i cant see trump mentioned

Same idea of allowing 14 year olds to leave school and go to work has been suggested in the Scottish parliament

Plenty of third world countries send children down mines

Or employ children to get the raw materials or make products that this country purchase

Plenty in here probably buy them

But satisfy them selves that they don’t know about it or so they would say

Yes exactly

Ball cocks :giggle:

Is usa , or even the UK a 3rd world country ? I know we are rapidly heading towards being 1, but surely we don't need to exploit children yet

Trump is bringing back all these cheap labour manufacturing businesses back from China, he will need to get his labour force from somewhere, who else but children would be prepared to work for the equivalent of pocket money.

really so what is different

It looks like this suggestion came from the Scottish Tories. It seems to be modelled on the German system where those kids who might not be so academically inclined go into technical education combined with apprenticeships at age 14.

If Trump really wants to reintroduce manufacturing in the US, he will have to deregulate in order to compete with the 3rd world, this is probably why he has enlisted Elon Musk to gut the government workforce.

Aren't grammar schools set up to solve that problem.
