It is
abundantly clear from these:
https://www.diynot.com/diy/search/16869219/?q=rnli&c[users]=motorbiking&o=date that you are wholeheartedly opposed to the RNLI rescuing people in distress when those people are asylum seekers crossing the channel in small boats, people you portray as "illegals".
If you don't want the RNLI to rescue them, what's the
only alternative, the
non-rescue thing you want them to do? And what's a very likely outcome when people in distress at sea are not rescued?
Join the dots from how you want the RNLI to behave to the likely outcome if they do. Follow the logic. It's not possible to want someone to follow a course of action which has a particular result and not want that result.
It really is not.
Follow the logic. Join the dots. You've stopped donating to the RNLI
because you don't want them to be rescuing small boats in the channel. If you have done that, and started donating to independents, what on earth would be the point if the independents are carrying out the same sort of rescues?
Join the dots. Follow the logic. You say that a lot of people have left the RNLI to volunteer for independents
because they don't want to be rescuing small boats in the channel. What on earth would be the point of that if the independents are carrying out the same sort of rescues
I would sincerely hope not. But if an independent lifeboat called out to a small boat in distress in the channel doesn't leave the people to die, they must turn out to rescue them. Join the dots. Follow the logic.
So if they ars still going to turn out and mount a rescue, what's the difference between their "taxi service" and the RNLIs? What's the difference between volunteering to crew their their "taxi service" and crewing the RNLIs? What's the difference between donating to support their "taxi service" and donating to the RNLIs?
