Very difficult to see from photos, two things come to mind.
1 The new (larger) screw heads are binding on something.
2 The new thicker screws have removed some of the tolerance in the hinge holes, there is usually a tiny bit of adjustment by slacking off the screws and tapping/wiggling the hinges along a bit also it may have centred the hinge slightly closer or further out from the frame.
