Hi everyone. I'm hoping that you can help me avoid needing to call a chippy. I have a glass paned interior door stuck and it's so far resisting my attempts to open it.
It's got a lever handle. Both sides of the handle are moving as they should, it just seems not to be engaging the latch. I tried taking the handle and faceplate off and turning the internal spindley thing with a pair of pliers but it hasn't done anything. As you can see from the pics, there's some hefty amount of architrave in the way so I can't get a credit card or owt in there to push the latch back, and if at all possible I'd like to avoid butchering the architrave as it's a rented house and I'm not very handy. Can anyone tell me what to do?!
