Edited out as basically explained how to bypass a meter.

One side connected to neutral tail. The other to main earth bar all inside board

When I say switch I mean a one gang 5amp switch

Came across a switch today that turned off the meter whilst doing an eicr, never seen anything like this before. Tried to strip it out and the meter would go off with everything back as it should be . Any ideas?

Not worth trying to replace faulty parts if I sus out what's the prob... Yikes... Fires are not cheap :-(

hi everyone! i have a problem with my electric fire...it used to come on then i think it would get to a certain temp and cut out, cool a little and cut back in etc! but recently when i switch it on, it cuts out after 5 mins and will not come back on?? :?: what could be the problem...
