I'm trying to get a copy of the most recent Regulations for French Electrics - translated into English. Would anyone be able to advise me as to where I could find this??
Currently renovating a house in France and the French electrician suggested putting fuse board in large cupboard which from my reading, was all ok as long as the cupboard was vented. But the electrician has now installed next to the cupboard saying that the regulations NOW forbid him to install in our cupboard...need to know whether this is correct or whether this was just more convenient for him??
I also requested that a dimmer switch be put on the kitchen dining lighting which he has fitted with remote sensors - he now tells me that this will need more wiring and another devis BUT my understanding of this would be that only the switch at the wall end and fuse board end would need changing, which I thought would have been reasonably inexpensive?!
Hope there is a french electrician out there or someone who has worked in the French system that can help?
Thanks.
