    Hi there, not too up on em either but have fitted a couple of wired ones, The reasoning behind was I kn ow in the old days and maybe still the wireless ones could be jammed where as the wired ones can't. I think I got the last one from Macro but it was a good one for about £100 Paul

    As above, and as for the rolled up bit, Many years ago was welding on etension lead which was only unrolled a little and guess what happened? A it melted lol ALSO SOME EXTENSIONS ARE ON 0.75MM CABLE. Paul

    the wiring problem is in the loop of the light that works ok, you have connected the live to the perm on light to the supply side instead of the switched side. if you can identify the wires going to the one thats perm on there the red or brown depending how old cable is needs connecting to the...

    Hi sounds like the fitting that is on constantly is being powered by the permanent live rather than the switched live. search using google (other search engines are available) for loop in light wiring diagram should be able to see where you have gone wrong with that. Paul
