The recall work was completed by Cannon Service Engineer. Not sure exactly what was done.

My trusted gas fire has developed problems with ignition. It start fine when initially cold. After a while when I put it on pilot and then increase the output, the gas does not ignite immediately, but then ignites with a bang.
