I’d just counter batten it ie batten over the joists at right angles to them. Obv would bring the ceiling down by an inch or so. If thats not an option you just need to get the ends nearest the wall/window supported rather than between the joists

Needs more support really, ie noggins. Although looks like coving may have been there before? In which case may get away with it if coving again

Argos doing the max size one for 150 in a not great colour (beige and green) but will be fine as it’s round the side of the house. Will probably grab one, cheers.

Looking to get one or two of those outdoor storage chests, for tools etc, would need to be lockable and fairly solid, any recommendations? Seeing a few on screwfix but reviews not great. They’d be mounted against a brick wall so can be screwed to wall.

It’s corbelled and will be toothed into the gable wall, doesn’t look any different to thousands of other houses unless I’m missing something.
