i didnt really know what to expect from this site, but without getting an engineer out how would i go about checking that?

i have a bosch 28i junior boiler. the problem is we have hot water and heating. but cant seem to get hot water without having the heating (radiators) on. is it just me being silly or can anyone see a problem. Thanks
