Dear Mystery man, I have fitted new ionization sensor but nothing wrong with old one..4ohms resistance in sensor and .4ohms resistance in the cable from it to the PCB board.I stuck the sensor right in the flame as well .Sensor get hots.(burnt fingers to prove it) Could it be anything else , eg...

I have fitted a new ionization sensor /detection electrode and checked the continuity and resistance of the new and old sensors and they are both .4 ohms. The wiring lead from the sensor to the pcb is also about .4 ohms. The flame is heating the sensor. Could it be anything other than the pcb?
