Thankyou. I had a feeling it was wrong. I've pointed the hose straight up now. Hopefully all correct now and it'll drain better

Hi I had a washing machine delivered today it was connected by the company I bought it from. Can anyone tell me if the grey drainage hose should be looped around like that? After the machine has finished the pipe is still full of water. I'm worried it'll start smelling if it can't drain correctly.
