    Yes, like that. The application side is textured, perhaps to aid in spreading and smoothing the plaster.

    All i'm going to say is 'Best of luck' because I'm at the same stage as you. I'm going to make sure everything is planned as muc as possible before I fully commence (have started ripping tiles off the wall - couldn't resist). Has anyone used a PVC plasterers float?

    Sounds OK, water expands when heated therefore increased pressure in the system.

    I didn't know what else to cover the space there. There used to be a door going to the kitchen but was covered up before we moved in. And there are grooves for plates :D
