Thanks Rocks,
I did that - here the callout cost inc parts is €159.
We decided to go for a new one coming in at €389. Plus €20 for delivery and collection of the old one.
We got good innings out of the wd61x, no probs for over 10 years. Made the above decision as we...
And todays report ..
I got a meter and did continuity tests from plug to on / off switch to board to motor. From the Interlock switch ...
Continuity fine on all.
Still no start - I even changed the whole sealed plug to a new one .. no go!
Giving up at this stage as the next thing is...
Yip,
Ahead of you there :D
I just tried that. All still dead. No lights, no sounds.
I wont be able to get a meter until tomorrow, just got call from Bro in Law, pub time .. hic!
Ill update when I get a meter, if you think of anything by all means pop it up here - me back in about...

Yes, had the door shut, start button then popped out - again no joy!
Aidan

I ran my hand behind the DOOR BOOT RUBBER GASKET SEAL that goes from the door back to the drum. Their is a tear up by the interlock unit in the rubber. If that rubber collar tears, can that be sensed also...
Just checked the PCB. No visible fried / burnt out tracks either.
The way the wires are attached to the Interlock Switch - does it matter which way around you attach them / push them on?
Is their any 2 amp glass fuse in these units near the motor? If so where and could that be an issue...
Hi Rocks1,
Tis the day after - I got the new interlock switch ( $25 ). Fitted it as per your instructions - THANK YOU FOR THAT.
Before I continue, does it matter which way around one fits each individual wire to its appropriate prong?
Anyway, The door closes in place. BUT now no DOOR...

Have to wait til tomorrow to get said part ..
Aidan

Basically when we put in a wash yesterday morning and closed the door, switched on - no DOOR CLOSED...

Would you advice so - before I go to the trouble of getting a new Interlock Switch to inspect the PCB?
