You did it, just turn off when the water flows.
If you're on a pressurised sytem, you now have to re-pressurise.
If you've a header tank, should re-fill automatically.

I had the same problem mate, just take your time and look to position one arm on the floor, on it's end so you can exert all effort on the other arm. Do it slowly and it won't ripple.
As far as I know, if you want to get rid of the header tank, you need to go fully pumped / pressurised system for your Ch & hw.
As regards the hot water to the taps, this is fed from a seperate cold water tank and the option here is mains fed - look at Thermal Stores / unvented cylinders...

Have done a Google to look for suppliers of Body Jets to fit into a new shower but not having much look. Am hoping to be able to fit these onto the outlet of the following mixer valve http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/462-15192 with the inlet side being supplied from a Pandora Heat Bank...
