I like that idea, just a bit concerned with the weight, the computer weights 20KG on its own! But I want to keep it minimalistic so I'm not sure. Good idea to paint the battens though, would the fact they are hollow stud walls make much of a difference?

Really want a new desk for my new iMac, but I can't seem to find anything I like. Had this idea, more of a workbench than a desk, but things could be put underneath. The left wall and back wall are stud walls and the right hand wall is an outside wall. Is this going to be easy? Mockup As...
