I can't get rid of the flexi, there are small boards on the way and there is no clear way to reach the pipe with fittings. I also cannot do much in regards to the AAV, I did not install it and to and see it I have to dismantle the whole bathroom.
I'll call a plumber and see if he has any other...
It's a white valve with a spring loaded membrane that opens when the toilet is flushed. I've no gurgling from toilet or sink..
I think it is an hunters brand one..
Hello
That is not possible. The air admittance valve is in the inter floor space. I'd have to remove the bath tub, the flooring and the floorboards to get to it. The bath and the sink work fine as well as the toilet, the real issue is the shower (its also the farthest).
The shower + bath tubs are both draining with a 40mm pipe into the toilet pipe. Originally at the corner there was a vertical pipe going to the roof, the spigot, for venting out. It was removed to get some space in the toilet, and replaced with an air admittance valve.
Hello,
I am new to the forum and I like doing DIY around the house. Recently I have been looking at my shower..About two years ago we redone the upstairs bathroom and moved the shower from the place it was originally, it is now about 3m from the nearest foul pipe.
The spigot was as well removed...
