Best solution for internal roof drainage into soil pipe

Thank you for your reply. Some more information upon further investigation. There is an access pipe in the bathroom above that connects the gutter drain from above and the shower waste on the side. The leak is coming from the bottom joint between the access pipe and regular pipe that leads to...

Best solution for internal roof drainage into soil pipe

The gutter drains into the corner of roof extension, under the soil pipe visible in the photo. Internally it then runs behind a WC frame in upstairs bathroom and then down to meet the pipe in photo of original post.

Best solution for internal roof drainage into soil pipe

I am sure this can be done a lot better. We have an extension and the drain from the extension roof comes into the house, then meets the 45 degree pipe seen in the photo, forms the large trap made up of several 82mm pieces and then exits to the main soil pipe to the right. It was done so that...

    Levelling joists - best options

Thank you for the comprehensive and well thought out reply @JobAndKnock. Some responses.... No, these were removed. Just a single layer of plasterboard now, so much less weight on the joists Yes they do, but I thought I could remove the hangers and insert longer ones, working one joist at a...

Valliant Boiler - Help me troubleshoot pls

No - nothing works. The boiler just sitting there silent. Have checked for airlocks but found none but will keep looking. Would an airlock create this outcome?

Valliant Boiler - Help me troubleshoot pls

Boiler LCD shows 0 degrees. Its room temp (but not zero). Hasn't fired up since yesterday morning. The boiler wasn't touched so all valves etc remain open. Could it be a sensor issue thinking that water temp is hot enough that doesn't need to heat?

Valliant Boiler - Help me troubleshoot pls

Hi, Have a Valliant EcoTec plus 637 system boiler that is showing no error codes and S.0 (no demand for heat), but it is not heating. Have checked that it is receiving switched 240V heat demand into PCB, so believe it's a boiler issue. Boiler was working fine up until needing to fix small...

    Levelling joists - best options

I don't disagree that is is a can of worms, but removing skirting is quite easy and I won't need to replace ceilings given its a metal furring suspended ceilings so I should be able to unpick joists one by one and then reattach. But maybe its better just to bolt new timber to the side of...

    Levelling joists - best options

its a metal furring ceiling so prob 100mm. I doubt I could get a supporting joist in place, as the ceiling plaster below and all the hangers are in place. Thats why I was thinking of padding each joist individually
