I got up on the roof and took some photos. There does not seem to be groove cuts. I also noticed a larger hole on the right wall that I need to fill up. Do I use expanding foam and then mortar or chicken wire and then mortar?

It's not as simple as you think. The manufacturer needs to be shot to make this so complicated! I decided to get my soldering iron and burn through the plastic like a hot knife through butter. I then hammered away at the plastic until it came off. Thank you for your advice.

Hi Rob. Here's the video by the manufacturer showing how to install the stabiliser bar. I can't beleive a bloody ladder is so difficult to use!

It seems the blackness is just empty space. Not sure why it came up as black. Here are some more close up pics.

This is what it says in the instruction manual : Remove and discard white protective bungs to fi t stabiliser bar. DO NOT use ladder with white protective bungs fi tted! And, here's the pic. No need to follow the link.

What about getting some mop handles, drill holes through them, screw and tighten with nuts and then use with an extensible roller head?
