    I have recently purchased a new mixer tap and have now got the correct 12mm connectors on tap tails. When I fit these, do i just tighten them up to the rubber washers, or do I need PTFE tape as well?

    Is this because Astracast have their own spec for the threads? If so, could I get them from an Astracast dealer?

    I have aquired an 2nd hand Astra Cast monobloc kitchen mixer tap. It came with the horseshoe fitting but no tap tails. I've taken it to several plumbers merchants to try and buy these, but the threads on the tap appear non standard. Neither a 10mm or 12mm flexi pipe will fit. The 12mm is close...
