    Banking scam

The text didn't have a code, just the letter N which I should press to confirm that I had no knowledge of the transaction.

    Banking scam

Maybe I've got it wrong in terms of time, but it was a long time ago, and there is no way he could have guessed the security question. It was probably when on line banking came into being, when was that?

    Banking scam

Funny enough the scammer had what I would call a BBC accent but when I spoke to the real bank the receiver had definitely a Indian/Pakistani accent. So bad at times I had to ask him to repeat several things. I must stress that he was extremely polite and efficient.

    Banking scam

I agree, if I had given card details, password etc then at least I would know what not to do in the future. I found it very strange that the bank person I spoke to said and I quote, we will have to inform all the other banks immediately. He didn't say branches. Quite honestly I didn't expect to...

It was me that asked them the security question, and they had the correct answer. I never gave it to them.

It was me that asked for proof that they were from the bank. The name they gave me was not a password but a security question when the account was first set up.

I don't know and when I asked bank he didn't seem to know. That's probably why I got the refund so quickly

    Banking scam

I've not heard of this one before so I thought it may help others. Received a text message from bank saying unusual transaction on my account for about £500 from major store. Said if I did not make it press N. At time I thought thank god they, the bank are on the ball. Thought no more about it...

1st Feb 25% tariff on Mexico + Canada, 10% on China

If he was trying to save lives in the states by reducing drug smuggling he would save more by putting tariffs on McDonald's, Kentucky fried and the like. More people die each year as a consequence of obesity in the states. In respect of making Canada the 51st state it couldn't possibly be...
