    Maths help

@rsgaz Thank you for taking the time time to put such a comprehensive and well explained reply especially at this time in a morning. When I get chance to sit down this evening I'll go through it properly but your reply is very much appreciated. Hope you don't mind the stupid questions but the...

    Maths help

It's been years since I did any of this plus I'm slightly inhebriated but bear with me as it's genuine questions and it may help others too... I get the coordinates for x and y (-1 and 4 respectively) what I don't get or can't remember is what m and c represent? There is no reference to them...

    Work benefit/perks removed

I'm not sure it ever was or still is but... So many people have now either chosen to or have had to succomb to them that they seem to be enshrined into the British working life. I'm not going to get political about it as its over my head and I don't want petty arguments in here as it's futile...

    Work benefit/perks removed

It's absolutely spot on though, when the gaffers are out the expense account can be hammered for no reason. At the end of the day they are paying for the bill. We had one that would turn up at about half 12 in the afternoon, take us out for lunch, then beers plus an evening meal with more...

    Work benefit/perks removed

Just as an addition to the previous post, I have worked away and I have also done long days which might as well have been working away. Whilst working away we got an allowance for 2 meals a day and the accommodation. If we had a day that went over 12 hours or so it was unwritten but they paid...

    Work benefit/perks removed

@Ian H I've been a long time member here but very seldom post anymore but your plight made me post. Companies nowadays are tightening belts, whilst I understand that you are effectively paying for a breakfast you could of had at home and a dinner you should be eating at home you aren't...

Would you be kind enough to look at this for me please?

I think both of the comments were where my Dad was thinking as was I. Its OK but not to current regs? Change Earth to what? 16mm sheathed to CU? @EFLImpudence Is it ok as that or an upgrade worth doing anyway? Appreciate your time. The more info the better for me as I like to understand...

Would you be kind enough to look at this for me please?

The main issue was a 10mm bonding going to gas pipe as a new system being installed. Dad is worried about 4mm unsheathed straight to CU, clamp in between and everything just on 4mm cant see how upping to 10mm will help matters? You tell me, you should be the guys in the know. If it were gas...

Would you be kind enough to look at this for me please?

Good evening sparks, Have a few images from my fathers garage and meter install. If you could be so kind as to point any faults or issues out that would be great as I'm not sure about regs and things on the sparks side of things. Think I've provided as much info as I'm privy to at the minute...

    Circular saw safety

First thing I thought of when I read this post. It was called saw stop and the guy put his finger onto it to test it. Works on conductivity. Jon Video here:

Is it possible to fit scaffolding into this space?

From the pictures the AC can not be 1m from your property! It will be a lot more than that. Also a correctly functioning split AC unit is pretty quiet anyway.
