Scalding hot at the tap for few minutes then cold. Pump doesn't appear to run. I thought that it might be as simple as the flow switch, but it was 5:30 so didn't want to start fiddling to much. But do you think it might be that the exchanger is scaled up and cant get the circulation it needs to...
Customer rang today about this, my first thought was heat exchanger. I was in the area so went round on route home. After spending ten mins trying to figure this thing out, came to one of three things.
Exchanger, flow switch, pump. It's a strange set up so just seeing if any of you guys had...
BG will probably fit a new ideal boiler they love them, and will be looking for about 4k maybe a tad more, in my experience i would go for a smaller company. Just my thought, see what others think, i dont like to pick on others.
Go for a stuart turner, best pumps you can get in my experience. But ofcourse you pay for it. Try that sight where people buy and sell stuff. Sitting on the dock of the E bay!!!!!!
Try to post a picture! Chances are if its not got a make on it you'll be hard pressed to find parts, might be worth getting a new shower for the hassle
Quite normail to bend a ball valve, within reason. If you would be happy to move it down then do it for your own peace of mind. Have you not put an overflow in? I would suggest you just cut the power for now intill the water problem is resolved.

How much are you paying for your boiler? Your the one who has to live with it for the rest of your time in that house, it's probably one he's had in his garage for a while. If you not sure you want it dont have it. You'll have more problems in 5 yers time than you'll get with a well known still...
