For the past three weeks, i have experienced a problem with the boiler. I turn the hot water tap on and the boiler fires up for about 5 seconds and then goes off. It continues this process until i have finished with the hot water tap. When the central heating is on, the boiler if fine. Any ideas? :(

When i turn on the hot water tap the boiler fire up for about 8-10 seconds and then shuts off but fires up again for another 8-10 seconds and repeats this constantly every time i use the hot water tap. Can anybody advise as to what the problem may be.
