I bough the fitting in the end. https://www.toolstation.com/made4trade-compression-tank-connector/p54014 The fitting has a 7/8" and not a 3/4" BSP thread on it like the other plastic junk one I had before so i had to make a bigger hole in the tank. I fitted it, than fitted a bit of old 22mm pipe...
not at a proper and local mans plumbers merchants they should not be! (unless they are just con men like rest of them)
The store I used before used to charge me NOT A LOT in differance between 10, 15 and 22mm size. unlike the mega corps SC and TS that would charge more then double for a not 15mm...

But is the tank thread the same as the other tank thread, 3/4" BSP so it will match the whole I have cut in the existing tank
PS I have to say that these mega corps SF and TS do rip people off when its the odds sizes like not 15mm. that seam a lot of money for a fitting
no the washer is on the correct size. but that is a metal tank connecter in the diagram you show. will it work better and is it the same size at bough ends?

am building a waste/ water tank
the internet search brings up loads of resaults for lids to screw onto prefabricated threaded water butts. But nothing with the lid and the gasket its self like you where making the tank from scratch

So if we where to go on the notion of blocks and filling the gap with cement then how many blocks do you think i will need?
and how much cement sand and hard cord do i needs as well?
