hi
the small tank level is a lot lower than the big tank level a LOT lower!!
also chrisr think you may be on to something i turned the water off under the sink in kitchen put thge immersion on and went into the bathroom and put on both taps the hot water came out as normal the cold tap came...
right no we dont have any joystick taps,
the washing machine was disconeected and reconected a week or so ago when we fitted a new base unit but the overflow was already dripping then as far as i can remember
as for my boiler it is a glowworm economy plus i dont know the model number is...
also the ball arm and ball have been replaced completely - no the ball has not been lowered i have tried several times to bend it but i cant!!!!
(hubby is away so it is me now trying to sort this out!!)
would it help if i bought one of the plastic arms that can be adjusted??
also to...
sorry meant to add when the ball was held up when the tap was swithced off it didnt look like the water level was rising but i could hear an occasional trickle???
right!!
the reason i could answer the first question was because i had been up in the loft earlier in the day and had checked which tap made the water level drop - now i have been back in the loft the water goes down when the float is held up and the hot tap turned on when the hot tap is turned...
right getting back on topic i dont know whats been happening!!!!
when i turn the cold tap on and look in the big tank the water level doesnt move - when i turn the hot tap on the water level starts dropping
i would say the water in the tank is cold its not freezing but its not tepid...
also we dont have a shower we have a kitchen mixer and a bathroom sink mixer tap the washing machine is conected by a hot and cold hose from under the kitchen sink????
does this help?
thanks in advance  :?
right we have just checkjed everything step by step and the problem stops when we turn on the bathroom HOT tap we was just putting them both on before so we just tried it one by one and it is the HOT tap that stops the overflow is this really bad?????
hi
right the water is coming from the valve albiet dripping slower than it is coming out of the overflow?
he has changed the whole valve seals everything and it is still dripping would getting an adjustable plastic valve help rather than the brass one??
we just got the brass one cause that is...
apparently when the ball is held up it doesnt stop the water???
does this mean it is something completely different?
he said it doesnt look like it is coming from the small tank as that water doesnt move??
also any tips for the bathroom sink??
also we have two mixer taps is this what you mean?? one in the kitchen and one one the bath sink - the bathroom sink is also pretty much constantly blocked i have had loads of sink blocker stuff down but it makes no difference could this have anything to do with it??
