hi BAS. would this be the right way for myself. I have to replace broken shower. New one is 7.5kw so draws 32.6amp. Old Wylex board with plug in MCBs. Shower currently runs unprotected from 32amp mcb with cable size maybe not 10mm (how can i be sure of size). So i need to protect my new shower...

just a quick point. IMO the most important part about this whole procedure is the STove itself. After mr fitter has been round and u have paid your hard earned reddies u sit down it the cold light of day in the middle of summer and the stove looks Sh1t. U don't actually like the look of it!!! Thanks guys.. Staurt45 so i tick the out all day box so internal it is.. The room in question suffers from black spot mould behind wardrobes, chest of draws etc it also occurs up hi where one wall meets another.. I realise this is an air flow/moisture issue so all windows open all day...

me been a wally.. existing shower was rigged upto a 32amp mcb.. can get hold of a 40amp mcb for £20.. what you rekon.. game on?

BAS got an idea.. can I put a 40amp MCB in the main existing board then run from that to my new mini shower unit with the 40amp RCD?

thanks BAS. what about the possibility or arcing when the fuse is removed. Someone mentioned that its possible another fuse could be furher up the line?

ok so arcing is a problem aswell.. what do all you sparks do then carry gaunlets and face shields when you whip out a fuse? heres my pics.
