Query on existing shower - changing boiler system

I currently have a Mira Magna shower which has a digital mixing unit, hot and cold water inlet and pumps water itself. My CH system is conventional with combined feed and vent, HW cylinder, F&E tank etc. but will likely be changing to a combi boiler. My question is can I still use this shower...

    Mira Magna issue

For the last few months I’ve had an issue with my Mira Magna digital mixer, which has a pump and is on a gravity fed system. I work away from home and lately when I get home again, after a week or more, the shower doesn’t power up when switched on at the wall switch, no blue light on the...

    Few questions, boilers and showers

It’s a UPMO 15-70. There is no up and over vent at the F&E tank at all.

    Few questions, boilers and showers

Yeh, the pump was one of the first things I looked at after seeing online suggestions. It was charged by BG @ my request, but they found nothing wrong with the original pump. The new pump is a Grundfos and I have it on speed 3.

    Few questions, boilers and showers

Many thanks for your reply, I’m willing to look at bigger boilers with the option of doing away with the wall cupboard it currently resides in. Another option might be to install in the wiring cupboard, but running a condi drain and PRV drain from there would be very tricky as it’s in the...

Forgot to ask if I can control the new boiler via Hive, assuming just drop out the hot water from the Hive receiver?

    Few questions, boilers and showers

Thinking of changing from my 28 y/o regular boiler system which I believe is combined vent / fill, and which is gravity fed with hot water cylinder but no immersion heater, to a combi boiler. There is only me here, and my son at weekends, 3 bed semi detached with one bath / shower and 8...

Another thing I thought was maybe the heat exchanger in the boiler is choked?

    Cleanser

Thanks for the reply, the engineer said the combi boiler would be pumping water round at a higher pressure than the current pump which would help, we were seeing some heat in the downstairs rads whilst the power flushing was ongoing, which I was told was pumping around the same pressure as a...

    Cleanser

I have had my system power flushed as I was advised by BG engineer, which hasn’t solved the problem I’m having. The issue is cold radiators downstairs, the boiler keeps stopping due to over heating apparently, so it spends more time off than it does on. Typically only runs for about a minute...
