Question . If I worry about my L shaped straps on my wall plate can I add twisted straps to be on safe side ? Or is it pointless ?

There will be insulation under the floor . I will run the DPM up the wall and past the DPC. It seems maybe better not to seal it and trim the dpm at screed level . I will just need to make sure plasterboard is 25mm off floor level. So there is ventilation if there is actually any damp rising.

how do you make that area air tight? do you paint VCL on the inside of that area? Or not bother?

Does the type of foam matter ? There's such a bewildering choice ....

No. There is timber noggins between the joists at the edge. It's a small flat roof with 100mm x 47mm joists on top of a wooden wall plate . There is no cavities as it's a solid wall with Kingspan k5 on the exterior. I think I'm going to have to apply liquid membrane to make it all airtight...

Thanks . Solid single block construction. External insulation. No suspended floors . All solid . I haven't seen gas membrane mentioned - I think it's mentioned standard DMP. I'll have to check with the structural engineer.
