I have just neatened it back up again and it is working, as are the rest of the lights in the flat. :confused::D Echo - re: the reds, it is difficult to tell with the plastic facia whether it is a single or a cable with two reds as the length of the cable is quite short.

I have tried both of those methods - I think the file is too large. I am having the same issue with my video.

no just two black. two earths and three reds. I have checked every other light in the flat, there is one other similar fitting and have tried to replicate the wiring in that. I will take a video of it so you can see better.

Thanks. They were neater but I have been messing. Just to clarify, when you say black wire/neutral with the marker on the L, to which wire are you referring? I can't see the marker :confused:
