    thanks JohnD, Does the void below the floor count as the bathroom ? (Ground floor bathroom - pipes run between floor boards and solum) I can access the entire area below the bathroom up to where the pipes go up through the floor boards.

    how close does the earth clamp need to be to my taps - I've boxed the bath in and don't want to crack a new tile but I can access my metal pipes from below the floor or through a partition wall with less hassle
