hi, thanks for the reply. I think a new mounting box and double socket by the side is the way to go. No problem with sinking it in te the wall either as its plasterboard walls. cheers

I need to add another 2 gang socket alongside an existing one. i am thinking about using a socket converter. how are they attached? do i need to sink in another mounting box or is it just a case of removing the existing socket and replacing it with the new one? Thanks
