There are many plumbers who are self proclaimed experts in powerflushing. Connecting a Powerflush machine to the system and running it for a couple of hours does not solve the problem. There are many ways to remove blockages from a system- be it from radiators or the piping system. It may...
You seem to be doing everything right. Have you done a pre survey on the system before powerflushing or do you use the same technique for each job tha you. Because if a system is heavily sludged up then I normally add a sludge remove a couple if weeks prior to powerflushing. This can give me...
The installation of the flue terminal is riding very close to the wind. At a glance I can see why they failed it- there are at least 3 issues which may not conform to the manufacturers instructions
I had completed a similar project recently but I would suggest that fitting 2@ 30-35kw boilers would be more prudent than a single boiler. In this instance I had piped the system so that down stairs boiler served 4 basement rads and 8 ground floor rads including 4 large cast iron radiators...
It may be a minor blockage in the boiler which is causing the nose as the water has to push pas this area. So you would need to establish if the installer had flushed the whole system several times both hot and cold to get rid of the debris that would be in the system as a result of work- bits...
It is sometimes easier to find where the noise is coming from when you remove the boiler panel. However you have to be gAs safe registered to do this. It would be prudent to call an engineer if the boiler is due a service anyway and point out this issue
Can you give any further info. Eg. The condition if the system water. Did you fit the magnetic filter after you noticed issues with the system. It may be that there may be slight blockage in the divertor valve or heat exchanger and very hard to diagnose without knowing that you've ruled out...
If top piston does not come out fully then it seems that you may have a blockage in the heat exchanger. You may have to get an engineer to investigate further and rule out other possibilities.
